The Colombian Latin Pop Music urban duo, consisting of brothers Alejandro Rengifo (Cali) and Mauricio Rengifo (Dandee), started their careers in 2008 and have been together since.
It seems unbelievable that the very famous had, until today, only one album out: "3 A.M", released eight years ago, on July 10, 2012, on record company Universal Studios Spain. The Rengifo brothers are now delighting fans with eight new songs. "Colegio" arrived, the title of the second work by Cali Y El Dandee, an album that maintains the duo's unique essence.
The album has an urban style, rhythms such as reggaeton and pop. The title reflected when they realized that music would always guide their lives. It also reflects the sounds and musical style they have ever fallen in love with.
"Colegio" features eight songs, six of them with collaborations: Lalo Ebratt, Mike Bahía, Sebastián Yatra, the Colombian band Piso 21, Rauw Alejandro, and the Mexican trio Reik.

"Locura" is the first track, with the participation of Sebastián Yatra, who collaborated with the brothers in one of his career's biggest hits, "Por Fin Te Encontre." The song speaks of an old love that has never been and will never be forgotten, memories that remain, and hope that still reside. "A veces no lo entiendes, pero el tiempo vuela/ Te conocí cuando estábamos en la escuela/ Pasaron tantos años y aún te pienso/ Besitos a escondidas a la luz de la vela." The music video reflects a couple's efforts, which, at the moment, aren't living together, to save their relationship in times of pandemic.
"Colegio," the second song on the album with Lalo Ebratt, proves that this work is nothing less than old love memories, as if we were watching a photo album. The music that gives the album its name explores an old relationship, from the first kiss with that girl, "en la escalera en noche de disfarces", to the music he dedicated to her, to a love for life, "Recuerdo la canción que yo te dediqué ese día/ En plena clase de filosofía/ Te-Te vi esa noche/ Primer amor que no se olvida/Me diste un beso en el colegio (Oye)/ Y lo guardé toda la vida (Toda la vida)", that will not be forgotten.
"Te desconozco, no eres la misma/Yo sé que es él el que te ha robado el carisma (No)," the duo shoots in "Besos Tristes," a song that is, yes, sad in its lyrics. This one talks about a relationship that is over. However, she doesn't feel pleased and fulfilled with her new boyfriend and wants to return to her old one.

For those who still have doubts, the central theme of this album is love, mainly referred to in "Solamente Tú," a declaration to his soulmate, "con esos ojito' de caramelo."
Mike Bahía collaborates with the duo on "Tu Nombre," which advocates an extreme desire to meet that person. "Borracho de Amor," with Reik's participation, talks about the necessity for alcohol to forget the person he loves. "Un trago y te olvido, amor (Yeah)/ Dos tragos, vuelve el dolor (Yeah)." "Voy por tí" has the participation of the Colombian group Piso 21. The song follows the album's theme, evoking someone's love but who cannot get a second chance to prove it.
"Colegio" ends with "Tequila Sunrise," with Rauw Alejandro. Here, the singers remember a love lost while drinking "Un Tequila Sunrise, Guarito con ice."
A good album to be heard in the middle of summer.
